The Role As a Qualified Conveyancer, you will manage your own caseload of residential and/or commercial conveyancing matters. You’ll handle both freehold and leasehold transactions from instruction through to post-completion, ensuring all legal issues are addressed, client queries are resolved, and all regulatory requirements are met.
Key Responsibilities:

Manage a caseload of residential and/or commercial conveyancing files independently.

Handle freehold and leasehold matters, including title searches, and satisfying mortgage conditions.

Ensure all time-critical deadlines and compliance obligations are met.

Maintain excellent communication with clients, keeping them informed at each stage of the process.

Collaborate with colleagues to generate new business and develop client relationships.

Post-completion work including filing SDLT/LTT returns and submitting land registry applications.

Engage in the firm’s marketing activities.

Requirements:

Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer.

A minimum of 2 years PQE in residential conveyancing; experience with commercial property is advantageous.

Strong knowledge of freehold and leasehold transactions.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency in IT and case management systems (training on LEAP will be provided).

Ability to work under pressure and manage time effectively.

Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.

Family/Litigation Solicitor
We are recruiting for a Solicitor to join our Family/Contentious team, based in beautiful North Wales. The candidate will specialise in Family Law and preferably have some experience of litigation and personal injury matters.
Nelson Myatt Solicitors, based in Llandudno Junction, was set up in 2014 and has established itself as a leading practice in North Wales. We are now looking to expand by finding the right individual who is not afraid of hard work and looking to join a small friendly team.
Nelson Myatt take pride in their customer service and have won the Conwy Small Business of the year award, we therefore need someone who will take pride in their work and has excellent communication skills.
We use LEAP case management software for which training can be given. We do not use secretarial staff and so in the main you would be responsible for maintaining and updating your own files. We do however provide admin and IT support.
The Person

Qualified with 3 to 5+ years PQE Essential

Previous Family Law and preferable Litigation & Personal Injury experience

The Position

Manage your own caseload, including file reviews.

Assist the Partners and other team members with their cases

Liaise with various parties such as other solicitors, insurers, experts, counsel and clients

Attend at court hearings as appropriate

Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and SRA requirements.

Working closely with clients engaging with both existing relationships and helping to generate new business.

Ensure clients and other stakeholders are kept informed in a timely manner.

Ensuring all time critical deadlines are met.

Keep up to date with legal developments

Be fully engaged with marketing the firm and be prepared to attend marketing events.
